What does "Vectoring state: 1" mean?

What does "Vectoring state: 1" mean?
It means vectoring is enabled on that line..

Ooh so I've got vectoring? Makes sense now. I had a huge speed increase a month or so ago.

More info? Are you in the UK? Any line stats please before and after.
-
I'm in the UK, yes.
I've just done a resin and my vectoring status is now 3? What does the number change mean?
-
And now it's back to 1 again. Hmm.
-

I noticed the same. It switches from 1 to 3 during the update of the "Total error samples" counter.
-
Which ISP is this?

I'm not in the UK.
If you want to compare before and after on mdws: Vectoring and g.inp was enabled on March 1st. Because the line length is almost 600 meters the improvement is only moderate.
The massive SNRM drops and resyncs you can see are caused by the overhead part of the line during rain/moisture.

no idea what is actually happening when in state 3, but they mean...
#define VECT_WAIT_FOR_CONFIG 0
#define VECT_FULL 1
#define VECT_WAIT_FOR_TRIGGER 2
#define VECT_RUNNING 3
#define VECT_DISABLED 4
#define VECT_UNCONFIGURED 5

I'm with TalkTalk.

I'm with TalkTalk.
You are extremely lucky to have vectoring enabled. Are you on a trial?
-
Lucky ?? There's loads of Cabs vector-enabled on my patch.
-
Are there any ECI cabs which are Vectoring enabled, or is this just one more thing ECI connected users are left behind on?
Stuart
-
I think the only enabled ones are BDUK cabinets to meet targets, and I also think that BDUK has only installed Huawei cabinets, so unlikely to be ECI, but it would be interesting to know.
-
From my understanding on ECI a vectoring engine would take up a line card slot so I don't really see them ever doing it as it would lower the cabinet capacity.
-
It's a Huawei BDUK cabinet in Hampshire. Never signed up to a trial.
-
What I have noticed with vectoring is that my line will always sync at 6dB and then a minute or so later, will immediately jump up to 7db. Re-syncing the line does nothing. That extra 1dB is almost permanently set.

Thanks that made me smile!
I keep hoping someone will drive into my ECI cab and obliterate it but I guess they would replace like for like instead of something that works like a Huawaii cab.
I think we should cross fingers they will at least have another try with Ginp and 3db targets but that's it.

and how many of those are not BDUK funded?
-
I'm just hoping I don't end up getting the ECI of G.Fast ;D
