How Do You Do It?
I just like to sit astride then go up and down with a nice smooth action,
because I find it such an enjoyable and pleasurable thing to do,
especially in the summer when the sun is blazing down on your back.
And I always like to take my time and try to make it last at least one hour
that way I don't get to overworked and feel I could go on forever.
My partner on the other hand goes at it like a bull in a china shop,
In, out, and get it over and done with, she just sees it as a man thing
that has to be done and the quicker it's over with the better.
That's probably why she prefers the beds, although I do keep telling her
it's not that good on the knees nowadays especially at her age
and she should pace herself a little bit more so she won't get tired-out so quickly,
but does she listen, no.
Then about halfway into it we usually take a break, she'll have a cup of tea,
myself I usually have a bottle of beer which helps cool me down a little
after having the sun on your back for half an hour, before getting stuck into it again.
Then it's time to start again, I get back astride and start going up and down
again with the same smooth action whilst the other half is back in the bed,
pulling and yanking, with the odd little shout of pain when she loses concentration
and puts her hand in a bunch of nettles or a thorny bush.
Once the jobs done it's time to have a good hose down and
put the mower away until next time.

I've ALWAYS said gardening is good for you ..... I do ALL of that and this is some of the results ....
