Title: What ISP?

I have BT infinity along with landline & TV from BT, and I'm afraid I have to cut down on expenses now I'm retired.
I have a friend who recommended a Droidbox...

which I can use to stream almost anything on the box. :cool:
So I want to cancel BT TV and just use the B/Band.
 So my question is.....
What ISP would you guys recommend that is decent and won't break the bank?
I understand I don't need Concorde speeds to stream a movie nowadays, as long as it's over 5Mbps.  Right?

If anyone has  a Droidbox, or knowlege of them, I would love to read what your opinions are.  :)

From my knowledge Plusnet are quite good and have relatively low prices compared to BT. They just moved to dedicated WBMC as well and so their network congestion and performance has improved. @kitz can speak from experience.

IMHO, a lot of the large ISPs these days are much of a muchness.   As is typical of most industries, CS goes to pot when they have a large amount of users and you get typical script monkeys for first line support.

Plusnet's support isnt as good as it used to be, but at least they are UK based and if you do get stuck there is also their forums.   The past few times Ive had to contact support either for me or on behalf of someone else the people whom Ive spoken to have been helpful and seemed to know what they were talking about.   Call wait time too thankfully seem to have improved.   I psyched myself up a couple of weeks ago for a long wait as I was ringing at about 1pm and was pleasantly surprised that I got through straight away.   
I was promised a call back later that evening, which didn't actually happen & instead I got a text saying it would be looked at the next day.  (they had hoped to be able to instantly sort the problem with a reset, which didn't work).

It certainly is a minefield out there isn't it. ::)
I know what you mean about script monkeys, the times I've been onto support from one company or another, and they answer from the same old scripts.  ::)
It can be so infuriating  >:(

I might try Plusnet then, I like the fact they are UK based as well.
