Title: NanoStation M2 or TL-WA7210N
Post by: maguirre on April 13, 2016, 09:17:10 AM
Which one is better to connect to public wifi (O2 WiFi) from a 1 mile distant from 14th floor in central London?
Thanks

Personally I would go with the Ubiquiti, I have 2 ready to deploy as a p2p link.
Can be an issue if you need support setting things up, but nothing that can't be solved by a web search or via their forums.
Can't comment on support for the TP-LINK.

Either way I hope you have line of sight to the transmitter.

I have two loco M5's setup as a ptp link between two houses. Best kit I've owned, networking wise.

Just going by antenna and tx power spec between the two. Most likely no.
The unit would have been limiting power to the EIRP limits of the country selected in setup.
Not suggesting you go over legal though.
