Title: PuTTY Telnet Doesn't Auto Update
Post by: William Grimsley on February 02, 2016, 05:37:51 PM
Hello guys,

I was just wondering, is it possible for the PuTTY telnet window to auto update like in DSLstats?

Thanks!

Probably not from from within PuTTY itself.

In the UNIX world there is a tool called expect which allows you to automate interactive sessions, along the lines of "if you see this, do this ...". It can work well.

I believe that there is a Windows port. How well it works I know not.

Hi adrianw,

Thanks for the link. Looks very complicated. I'm certainly not that code savvy and as with other things, it seems a lot of work.

Looks like I'm back on DSLstats for the time being.
