Hi Guys,
Can you tell me what's the latest firmware for the HG612 please? ;)

See here: http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,14262.msg267144.html#msg267144

Thank you! ;)
I did have the SP10 but reading from the web the SP08 is the latest build.
Can you help me with the stats after upgrading the firmware, that's if I encounter a Issue that is :fingers:
-
Yes, there are plenty of people here who can help with that.
-
Well I upgraded the firmware to SP08 unlockedversion,
Is there away instead of keeping plugging my laptop in to the HG612 LAN2 so I get the stats 24/7
-
Just attach a LAN cable from HG612 LAN2 to any free LAN sockets on the Router you will be able to access the modem HG612 using 192.168.1.1
-
I've done that but can't do it via wireless? Also can't upload my stats, My the Web GUI will be better?

You should be able to do this via wirless have done it before in the past.
So can you access the routers GUI ? and what is the gateway address for the router XX:XX:XX:XX
-
The HG612 192.168.1.1. Draytek 192.168.2.1, Maybe because I need the Web GUI instead of the unlocked telnet version
-
The modem and the router need to be on the same subnet, so you need to change the IP address of one of them. I suggest that you leave the HG612 as it is, and change the IP address of the router to 192.168.1.254. If the router is used as the DHCP server for your network you'll need to change the DHCP range to something between the addresses of the modem and router.
-
Thanks for the information,
I think I got it working ages ago on the Web interface version, If I can remember I changed the HG612 IP to 192.168.1.100 as my router DCHP was 192.168.1.1, 200
Can you tell me what to do, like the IP's etc, Right, My HG612 IP is 192.168.1.1, Draytek 192.168.2.1, what IP's would you assign?

Gain access to routers web gui and change the router IP address in the DHCP setting to 192.168.1.254 see my screen shot

All sorted thank you ever so much, Now need to figure out the stats, I'm on VDSL so which one do I use?, my DSL web stats is xBoltonUKx is differant from this username, Keep gettings error 'Unable to upload MyDSLWebStats data (file "upload15.exe" missing)'
-
Keep gettings error 'Unable to upload MyDSLWebStats data (file "upload15.exe" missing)'
That accounts for why there is nothing yet to see under your ID on MDWS.
Perhaps it would be simplest for you to just re-install DSL_stats. (If that is the utility that you are attempting to use.)
I now see that you are successfully uploading data (as of 2208 hours). There needs to be, at the absolute minimum, 24 hours of data before anyone can begin to see how your circuit is performing.
-
Okay Thank You, Everything seem's okay at present ;D
Hows it looking your side Username: xBoltonUKx

I have defined five panes, as follows --
- SNRM
- B0 CRC Errors
- B0 FEC
- QLN
- Hlog
The first three are only just showing some data, the latter two are currently blank as the data is only produced at discovery phase (which occurs when a resynchronisation event has taken place).
As I mentioned, above, at least 24 hours of data needs to be recorded before anyone can really comment on your circuit's performance.
-
The last two are uploaded on the hour or close to and he hasn't been online yet at that time - also needs to set them to upload. I think you'll find they upload anyway each time once set to do so...
Edit: yes both uploaded at 23:00 :)
-
Acknowledged. Thank you. :)
-
As Tony says, although QLN and HLog are only refreshed by the modem at resync time, they are uploaded to MDWS every hour on the hour.
-
I see all uploads by LBUK ceased at 2309 hours on 16th January 2016 . . . :-\

Hi, Guys ;)
Have I got everything up and running now? Still learning about the stats

Thats Good if you can keep it up for 24 hours
I like to know the true distance to FTTC/PCP cabinet before judging the stats and sometime I have to predict the line length so i'll say it's 815 meters :fingers:
-
As we still do not have a continuous 24 hour sequence of statistics to examine, I can only mention that there was a re-synchronisation event at 0340 hours this morning which has resulted in both the DS and US SNRM settling at a little above 6 dB.
-
Thanks guy's will you let me know how the connection is when its showing?
That was BT OpenReach resetting DLM them selfs ;)
-
How's my connection stats are they OK? :fingers:
