Title: Stats changed
Post by: aparat on January 02, 2016, 04:32:18 PM
Hi. for well over a year my stats where the same. Today after reseting modem they all look new to me, so can you guys, who know all of this, tell me what changed? I only noticed sync changed from 79999 to 80000 and Inp from 48 to 49. Thanks in advance

I've taken a quick look and it seems, to me, as if there are only minor changes which would be expected to be seen when the modem has been rebooted / power cycled.

There may be something more that an Analytical Eagle could say . . .  :-\

Edit: Added the two respective montages of snapshot graphs generated from the two "Plink" files.

Like I mentioned sync was always 79999 now 80000  ... inp was 48 not 49 and so on... its not just modem reset I think but Ill wait for what others can say.

Both data sets confirm that G.INP had been active, for at least 12 days.

Do you have any records of when it first became active?
It would have been last March/April at the very earliest.

DS Interleaving depth also changed from 16 to 8 when the connection resynced at around 11:20, 2nd January.

Nothing appears untoward as minor changes like this do occur, depending upon line conditions/noise levels at the time of a resync.

Also, as the Retrain Reason was 0 in both sets of data, it suggests that the resyncs were either manually user initiated or that there had been some interruption to the power supply.

DLM initiated resyncs tend to be Reason 1 & a software modem resync reason 2.
