I have found that cortana is using a lot of my memory & as I don't use it I have been trying to remove it but finding it difficult. Has anyone got a solution please?
-
I'm sure that someone will eventually be able to advise you but, as I don't use anything originating from M$, I wonder if you will get a sensible response if you asked Cortana "How to disable or remove Cortana?" ;)

I'm sorry, Dave, I can't let you do that... :P >:D

(Not sure MS (Cortana) would be that polite ?? :D )

Go to Settings - Cortana - Turn off

Unfortunately turning it off doesn't stop it hogging the RAM. I have since learned that it cannot be removed & there are lots of complaints about this. Something else we have to put up with!

Nope, I don't have that problem. AFAIK this works http://www.pcworld.com/article/2949759/windows/killing-cortana-how-to-disable-windows-10s-info-hungry-digital-assistant.html

I know the "damn" thing keeps forgetting how to search the computer. I end up having to end the process in task manager to get it working again.
