Since I've had Win10 I've always had the problem that on some boot ups the windows search function just doesnt work. The only way I could get it working was to reboot the computer. This fixed the issues, though it was a pain in the butt keep having to do that.
Today I've noticed that this issue still exists. So I went looking around for a work-around. I found one.
So if the search box isn't working, open up task manager and right click on the process called Cortana. Select to End Process.
When this as been done.. try typing in the search box and it should now work! :)
