Title: DSL Stats with Samknows White Box
Post by: Oldjim on October 21, 2015, 12:16:45 PM
This may be a silly question
I will shortly be receiving a Samknows white box which will plug into my 8800NL router
Can one still use DSL Stats to access the Billion Router and, if so, how
I suppose more generally - does the Whitebox essentially act as a switch

Jim

I do not know how but it works. I have 8800nl then whitebox (in my case a black box) and then an rt-ac68 router. I use DSLstats 5.6 running on Linux Mint inside Virtualbox on an iMac.

I just typed in the lan address for the 8800nl in dslstats and all works fine. Been like that for a year maybe since I got samknows.

I don't use the billion for wifi just vdsl access. So it's a glorified modem but in the 14 months I've had it the only times it has dropped connection is due to BT work eg g.inp.

Everything is connected to my Whitebox. Effectively my router is now just a router and the Whitebox is a gigabit switch.
