Title: FTTPoD - What's Going On? :O
Post by: xS9 on October 09, 2015, 10:46:56 PM
Evening,

All of a sudden FTTPoD has popped up on my BTW Checker result?

Exchange WNRE is served by Cabinet 26

Other Offerings
FTTP on Demand   330   30   --   Available

I thought the whole thing was canned and being re-incarnated? Can anyone shed any light?

Cheers
Matt

Sounds like someone has paid BT a hefty penny to have it installed in your area? I know my friends area has FTTP but only if you request it specifically from BT for a lot of money per month lol

So how do I get FTTP out in the wilds then? Who do I have to sleep with?

its not canned but according to some on TBB its just "on hold" so one can order but installation is deffered.

Also I believe as part of openreach NGA2 changes FTTPoD will get a rebirth.

FTTPoD is happening all over my, and other patches that I'm aware of. I don't know the ins and outs of it, as it's a completely different department to mine.
