Title: ADSL drops out starting desktop PC.
Post by: Timbuk2 on October 09, 2015, 06:43:14 PM
I have a Technicolor TG582n close to my Desktop PC and I am finding the SNR always dips and the connection drops out when I power on the PC. I have to reboot the router then it's fine and you can use the Desktop PC. You can shut down the desktop immediately (remove the electronic interference) but you will still need to reboot the router for the SNR and connection be rectified. Would this be a faulty router? I don't understand why the spike from the desktop pc causes it to die and require a reboot regardless whether you turn the desktop off immediately after or not.

Sounds like a faulty PSU in the PC to me.

Could put the router on a good UPS.
