Title: LLU Line
Post by: tickmike on September 21, 2015, 01:42:16 AM
If someone (not me) is on a Business ADSL2+ LLU  with a non BT phone line number, say go with BT business FTTC and have the phone line moved over would that be expensive because it's on LLU ?.

Its possible, but needs closely monitoring.  There are occasions when some lines do lose their phone no when coming from LLU to BT.  Also depends on who currently owns the telephone no.   Sky at one point lost most of theirs but things are much better now.

With this being a business then I imagine that telephone number is of vital importance so it would be best seeking re-assurance from BT that they will port the number.   A new system came into effect a couple of months ago which supposedly lessens the chance of the number being lost.  It is now the gaining isp (BTr) that will be responsible for handling everything.

It's second line for the broadband only and the phone side is not used I think it with TT business.
I did see somewhere it would cost £115 for the connection change over or had I got that wrong ?.

That £115 sounds like connection fee for a brand new line.  As the line is already active then there shouldnt be a full charge of that much.
However that price sounds like residential, Im not sure off the top of my head what it would be for business.    BTretail would be the best to check with.
