I'm looking to buy an AIO vdsl router to replace my asus ac66u but want to buy another brand apart from netgear or tp link. Billion has always intrigued me but are they bringing anything new to the home router market?

The 8900 series is coming, but no definite date yet [source (http://www.billion.uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4185)]. Previous estimate I read was end 2015/early 2016, but that was a few months ago.

The Australia guys are hearing October for the 8900 series.
Pre-orders are here in Australia:

Apparently it will be the first of the next gen wave 2 wireless AC modems.

Same for the UK I believe. Don't think you can pre-order it anywhere here but Billion_fan over on the official forums mentioned last month they were waiting for a sample so they could confirm specs and that hopefully the unit would actually become available by the end of the year.

Yeah billion_fan is pretty good. He has helped me with numerous queries over the years. Hopefully we will see it over the next few months.

The Billion 8900 is now listed on broadband buyer website so shouldn't be long now hopefully.
