Anybody else using Vodafone PAYG?
The way it's meant to work (for me) is to buy a £10 'bundle' every month, which gives me an allowance of calls and data that far exceeds my needs. Even when you factor in the cost of a new phone every three or four years (in my case, iPhone 5C) I reckon it's competitive with most contracts and, in the unthinkable event of a lost or stolen phone, no worries over life-changing liabilities and so no need for insurance.
The only thing is, the £10 bundle only gets you 3G data... 4G data is meant to need a £20 bundle (which also gets more data & calls, that I would never use).
But I just noticed, my phone has suddenly switched to 4G, even though I'm on the cheapskate £10 3G bundle.
How long will this last, one wonders? :-\

No signal out here.
EE or Three.
O2 really rubbish at the house.
EE for phone, and Three delivers AAISP IPv4 to iPad. [A single static IP.]

I was out and about today again and, yep, I am still getting 4G data 'for free'. ;D
I have also tested it with personal hotspot (tethering), which is not meant to work at all on Vodafone PAYG. It works fine, just as on 2G and 3G. :)
