Title: That's not an Ofcom email about your radio licence – it's a TROJAN
Post by: tbailey2 on August 05, 2015, 07:09:11 PM
Any other Radio Amateurs on the forum need to take notice of this NOW  :-\

The Register

(http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/08/05/spoofed_ofcom_emails_sending_out_a_virus/)Fake emails purporting to be from Ofcom Spectrum Licensing have been sent to lots of radio hams.A number of Register readers have been in touch to say that they have received an email supposedly from the address spectrum.licensing@ofcom.org.uk

I got one an hour ago but luckily hadn't opened it as had already seen the El Reg message....

Before I'd even got half way down the article, because it was specifically targeting hams I began suspecting some sort of security breach somewhere.  My first guess would be a forum used by radio hams.
