Please note that v 5.1 of HG612 Modem Stats is due to be released as a full update some time tonight.
Existing users will be able to update to v 5.1 via the GUI's auto-update system.
The full package can be downloaded from here (http://www.ronski.me.uk/downloads/HG612_Modem_Stats_Programs-r5.1.0.4.zip) please ensure you check for updates after installing.
Changes since v 5.0:-
* G.INP related data is now included in logs optionally uploaded to MyDSLWebstats
* Ongoing FULL__MONTY stats montage reformatted to include all relevant graphs
in a single montage for G.INP active connections
* Various improvements to the graphing displays
* Various MINOR programming reliability improvements
MyDSLWebstats users may need to wait for a few minutes after updating to v 5.1 for the G.INP related graphs to become visible as quite a major database update is required when the new data is first uploaded.

False positive ???
I have just downloaded the same link.
Checked with latest Avast & Malwarebytes ..... all OK as I would expect. ;D
What AV do you use.?

These are indeed False positives that some AV programs wrongly detect.
Which file is supposedly infected?

It claims the HG612_run.exe is infected
Having had others also confirm its not the case I will continue to install

Hg612_run.exe is a very simple VBA script that I compiled into an exe file for some reason, can't remember now why we did this. All it does in run HG612 Stats.exe in such a way that you don't get a dos session window flash up every 60 seconds (doesn't happen in all cases as it depends on OS version and how the task is configured). Its probably because it runs another program in a covert way that some anti virus systems report that it's a trojan.
The main problem is that a relatively small amount of people actually use our programs, and an even smaller amount submit them to AV companies when they are flagged as having a virus or a trojan.
If any anti virus programs flags any of our programs as a threat please submit it to them as a false positive, they will then take a closer look and act accordingly, last time I did this I got a reply back declaring Hg612_run.exe as safe. The more people that do this the less false alerts will be raised, until eventually it's not flagged as a threat by any anti virus programs.

Ronski removed the feature from the latest version to prevent traffic being sent to MyDSLWebStats while it was down. I’m sure he will add it back when he has time.

Until I reinstate the options, which probably won't be until Tuesday night you have two options.
1. Roll back to a previous version of the GUI, which if you've not disabled the backup option will be in the backup folder, then don't update until I release another update.
2. Edit the ini file manually and change the option for upload to YES. Then don't run the GUI until I release an update.

Yes, it is still available from the link in the first post. There was a short time around 18:30 yesterday when my server was down, either that or you was clicking the crossed out Freeware files link, which I have now removed.

I was trying it for most of the evening and tried again this morning and again with my vpn on but still no joy. I just get the error "80.6.29.213 took too long to respond."

Just had a thought, anything other than UK IP addresses are blocked, perhaps your VPN or normal IP are not within the allowed addresses.

I downloaded it onto the phone and got it from Google Drive. All working now :)
I just tried a UK VPN and was able to download it, but when I try with my normal connection (PlusNet), it times out just like the non-uk VPN test, strange. ???

Possibly your IP address was non-UK, but sold and bought by BT/Plusnet.

One of our number might have a server outside the UK address ranges from which a test could be run perhaps?

Looking with the moderation tools available to me I can see that russellhq's IPv4 address appears under ARIN and not RIPE when I perform a "whois" . . .

Okay, so its been a while and i've been lacking on logs and input since mdwl finished. I today tried to get a fresh copy of HG612_Modem_Stats for Windows to set up some new logging (used to use pi but was re-purposed long ago) and I can't seem to get the link to the tool to work, not can I get onto http://www.ronski.me.uk.
So I guess I have two questions, if someone would entertain me.
1. I have an HG612 unlocked. Is there now a new 'best' adsl modem to connect into my wifi router or are we still seeing this as good and solid going forward?
2. I have recently asked plusnet to increase the line speed of my connection from 40 to 70mbps (yeah I know, its all we have on my island) and I wanted to see what the stats said. Is there a new tool we are using to gather meaningful logs or still HG612 stats/DSLstats?

No problems accessing the website or downloading the program here!
You can also use http://dslstats.me.uk/downloads.html - that's what I and others use with our HG612's.

I can get dslstats just not the specific HG612 version linked in this forum.
EDIT okay used mobile internet and connected fine. My Plusnet broadband wont get there at all?? How odd.

HG612 Modem Stats is NOT an HG612 specific version of dslstats - it's a totally different program.

I downloaded the zip in the first post but there were still updates needed to be downloaded after checking in the GUI.

If you still find you have updates just zip the folder up once you've updated, mind you there's nothing to be gained from not downloading updates, we haven't changed anything in years.

I noticed with this version when I execute "HG612_current_stats.exe" 22 files are created whereas before 11 files are created. The extra files are mostly the raw txt files.
Is this version supposed to keep these files as I noticed before it would cleanup these txt files when done producing graphs.

I've only made changes to the graphic user interface, which is the part I wrote, neither part is being developed any longer.
Only thing I can think to suggest is to check what various options are set, perhaps it's one of those that creates the extra files.

I've listed the latest versions which the update system checks against below, I've no idea what the difference is with the slightly later versions (it's five years ago now), but I've now updated the zip file to reflect the correct latest released versions. It might be advisable to download the correct version, sorry.
