Interesting snippets in the "Thrown for a Loop" story.
BT is working on the assumption that in 10 years the top 10% of fixed
broadband users will want a 1 Gbps connection, while everyone else will be
in the 200 Mbps-300 Mbps area. In order to build in some headroom, it is
targeting 500 Mbps.
I note two other snippets that mention Sckipio getting 500Mbps from G.fast(ish) at 200 metres, and Huawei supervectoring getting 400Mbps at 300m.
