Title: How to disconnect extensions from master socket
Post by: itm on January 04, 2015, 05:44:38 PM
I have a BT master socket with two sockets on the lower front panel - an ADSL socket on the left and a phone socket on the right. I want to disconnect my internal extensions from the socket, and would like to know which wires I need to disconnect. The back of the faceplate looks like this:

As you can see, there are 3 wires connected to the block behind the ADSL socket: blue, blue&white and orange& white. Do I Simply pull all three of these out of the block to disconnect my extensions?

If it's been wired correctly, yes.
To check, when the faceplate is off (as in the picture) does:
1 The socket revealed inside the master still work when you plug a phone in?
2. Are the extensions dead?
