So finally got round to routing a lan cable to the win10 test rig (now with billion 8800nl have a ethernet port available), but noticed the windows update setting cannot be changed its greyed out, has anyone managed to change it? I am guessing I will have to login as the true admin account to change it.
Also good news is quick launch can still be turned on in win10, but the start menu I prefer the win7 version, and also there is 2 icons next to the start menu which cannot be turned off meaning cannot get quick launch right next to the start menu button.

Same if you are an admin.

hmm doesnt bode well, I am not a fan of automatic updating.

Automatic updates are turned on in the preview and cannot be turned off, I doubt it will be this way in the final release though.
There may be ways of disabling it, like manually stopping the update service.

interesting watching 60fps youtube through remote desktop from the win10 rig.
I find out yesterday IE11 on windows 7 isnt the full IE11, microsoft didnt give windows 7 user's the multimedia enhancements on html5. I previously thought was only missing the DLM stuff for netflix but they also skipped the media source extenions as well.

wtf, no mouse wheel options?
I edited in the registry but seems to be having no affect, will play with it more tomorrow.

even the pro version wont be like win7 updates, it will just let you delay for 90 days.
