Title: 2014 TNO Telco Conference on DSL
Post by: WWWombat on September 05, 2014, 09:40:45 AM
I found some interesting documents from this year's TNO "DSL Seminar" conference. If you want to see what Telco engineers are talking to each other about, have a look (it is largely about vectoring & G.fast).

Included are some presentations on
- Results from the BT/Huawei trial of G.fast
- Extra vectoring functionality for G.fast, from both Huawei and Alcatel
- Deployment studies for G.fast/FTTdp, covering Holland and Amsterdam
- Vectored VDSL2 results from Swisscom
- Vectored VDSL2 strategies for Belgium & Holland (Belgacom/KPN)

The best way to get hold of the documents is to google the following: "site:dslseminar.nl/wp-content/uploads" and you should see 26 PDF files.

Flushed with my success at finding those documents, I tried again for another conference. Turns out there's plenty more to keep you up way beyond bedtime...

This time from a G.fast-specific conference in May. There's a lot more technical information that is specific to G.fast, while (predictably) there is some overlap with the other set of presentations.

Google "site:uppersideconferences.net/g-fast-summit2014/pres-gfast2014" and you'll find another 20+ presentations.

I didn't realise that BT was one of the original prime movers for G.fast!
