Title: ECI CPE Modem B-FOCuS V-2Fub/r Rev.B - link a pair back to back
Post by: ps999 on August 22, 2014, 08:57:53 PM
Is it possible to link a pair of these modems back to back in order to create an extension of a LAN over a pair of copper between two buildings?

I'm guessing I need to get into the configuration to make one a master, assuming they are set to slave by default. Anyone advise please??

 ^-^  Somebody mentioned me?

I use a Planet VC-230N (http://www.planet.com.tw/en/product/product.php?id=48417#spec) configured in CO mode for testing various modems at the other end of a local loop.  :)

Perhaps a pair of Planet VC-201A (http://www.planet.com.tw/en/product/product.php?id=21837#spec)s will fulfil your requirements?

Thanks. I guess I should be using terms CO and CPE not Master/Slave a rather legacy description!
