does anyone know a reliable source for a MK2 faceplate?
i've seen many on ebay/amazon that claim to be genuine, but they often don't look genuine due to fonts being different etc.

This one looks genuine to me: http://www.run-it-direct.co.uk/btvdslfaceplate.html

agreed.
some of the ones i've seen don't have MK2 in italics.
that made me question whether they were genuine or not.

another question -
is there not a backbox with separate VDSL port yet?
ie it only seems to comes as additional faceplate that gets added to existing master socket which makes the socket stick out even further from the wall.
i know what i mean but probably didn't word it very well.

Hello,
A very good question.. I've not seen one yet.
I'm thinking about "reworking" a standard faceplate as the component count isn't exactly high.
I do like the separate modem port though..

yeah the seperate model port is ideal.
it's just that adding the faceplate adds another inch (at a guess) on to the depth of the socket.
then add the cable plugged in to it and it can stick out quite a distance, making it very easy to bump it it.

Youre not kidding. This is the problem 'Kellys' left me with.
Had to remove all the suspension files 'cause I could only access the first 6.
Its now moved.
