Title: New claim: Blocks malware before your antivirus can even put its boots on

Mbytes is introducing  anti malware aid (http://info.malwarebytes.org/acton/rif/8327/s-0019-1406/-/l-04fd:3c0b0/q-0a09/showPreparedMessage) with the claim of the title.

A useful addition or more a gimmick?

will be heuristics. It really annoys me when people talk about antivirus and malware in the same sentence though. Viruses and malware are completely different, I wouldn't expect an antivirus program to detect/remove malware, I run antimalware software for that. Similarly I run a separate firewall program.
