on page
http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/history.htm - May 2007
you state:
"At long last BTw make a reduction for port costs and central pipe charges.
Connection fee is reduced to £40, but a nasty cessation charge of £39.66 is brought in for the first time :( "
Then on page
http://www.kitz.co.uk/adsl/housemove.htm
you state:
"Fees associated with a house move:-
£40.00 - BT Wholesale disconnection cost on the old property.
£39.66 - BT Wholesale new connection cost on the new property."
I know it's only 4p difference but...

Thanks for pointing that out -
but in actual fact the 2 prices were different and afaik the connection fee was £40 and the disconnection fee was £39.66.
There was a bit of an outcry about the disconnection fee and at some point early last year BT temporarily dropped the fee whilst they decided what to do. I think all was quiet for a several months and I didn't hear much about it.
Ive just checked the up to date charges and BT are quoting
Connection - £34.86 + VAT (£40.96 inc)
Disconnection - £4.90 + VAT (£5.76 inc)
Operative Date:23-08-2007
Although I notice some ISPs such as Zen + Plusnet are still passing on the connection fee as a straight £40.
Will change the pages with the new(ish) fee :)
