Press Release : Aquiss reintroduces FREE FTTC Installs

Shropshire (Bridgnorth) based Aquiss have announced that new activations and migrations for their unlimited fibre FTTC products are once again free, which is a saving of £96.00 from their normal retail prices. Uniquely, the deal also includes free migrations from those who currently have an active FTTC service elsewhere.

Furthermore, those who also consider moving over to their phone service (optional) will also receive a £20.00 account credit.

Details of Aquiss Consumer fibre products can be found http://www.aquiss.net/fibre-unlimited.php and their Business versions can be found http://www.aquiss.net/business-fibre-broadband.php

Dont know if it's just me but that does not seem cheap on a monthly basis without phone. I could get fibre if I needed it including my phone and line rental for about that £36. I really cannot see a need for fibre as I dont download live TV, movies or music. Once you get to an 8meg connection that's stable fibre seems overkill unless you do those things. There is only me and Mrs Broadstairs and together we probably spend about 2 hours a day doing email and browsing.

As a comparison my isp Origin were offering the following fttc connections....24/10 mb £18.50, 40/10mb for £25 and as fast as your line can support,50,60,70mb or more for £35.
This is for a true unlimited connection,no throttling or download limits and UK based support

These were of course before Digital Region decided to close. And this was stand alone BB.

No, their MD sends me a copy of all their press type release news that goes to all the broadband related info sites.

I'm happy to do this for any ISP.   :)
Especially the smaller ones who may not get big press coverage elsewhere.

The one month contracts may not have been passed on yet. I know we still have 12month contracts with OpenReach for the first install at a site.
