Just so you know, if you see a popup on your XP system warning you that it's out of date, it's not a scam, it's Microsoft (probably) :

I shall be sad to see it go, IMHO it was much better than Vista.
It also makes me aware that I seem to run 'old' versions of Windows. I was bang up to date with various Windows versions, until they brought out Vista, which is when I ditched it and went back to XP. I feel a bit the same with Win7/Win8 and although Ive never actually installed Win8 on this PC, its my preference to use Win7.
