Since installation around 8 months ago my line has been seeing small but gradual improvements. Line length is approx 900m and I get a good quality connection given the distance. SNR margin hovers around 6dB.
I noticed a few days ago SNR had increased to over 9dB and attainable rate also much higher, from around 36000 kbps to 45000 kbps. A power down of the modem and reconnect after just over 30mins had my actual sync rate increase from 31850 to 38675.
Here are some stats taken just after installation

It's pretty good I think for the line length, but why is it, and what could have changed?

We had this on our works line, it changed to 9db and stayed like that for months until the recent firmware update, when it returned to 6db and interleaving kicked in dropping our speed.

The firmware update has been done over a month ago, but I'm fully expecting the goodness not to last.

If it's the same thing that happened to me a month ago the attainable sync rate shoots up and if a retrain comes in or a reboot of modem then it sync's much higher than your line can cope with, and then you will see alot more errors in your stat's and then it slowly over many weeks reverts back to what it used to be.
To me it looks like a Line reset and the DLM is going though it's re-training again, and I hope your line stays at the higher sync ;)
