Gentlefolk,
Here's a nice week end job for BS in sunny Berkshire !

I suspect the press have got the numbers wrong but the photograph isn't too clear.
I believe the cabinet is a Huawei 288 possibly with 3 * 48 way line cards.
We have commented down here that BT's planning contractors seem to go out of their way to put FTTCs in prominent positions so I suppose this was inevitable.
Kind regards,
Walter

I just took it to mean that there were perhaps only 96 connected, the fibre has arrived poster still looks in decent nick.
I did however immediately spot the twice wrong "DSLASM"

As you say Walter, fairly inevitable if the cabinets are close to the road.

Ha ha, Walter, I don't think there's much I could personally do to remedy that situation ! ;D
I'm afraid the siting of cabs doesn't take into account drunk-drivers. Places of scientific interest, places of natural beauty and places of historical interest, are just 3 of the criteria the planners have to take into account. The local Council having the final say.
But ..... careless, dangerous and/or drunk driving (and accidents) don't fall within their 'Plan pack'. As I've said before, there's usually a reason why 'it is as it is', it just won't be known to the average layman. :)
