Title: realtime National Grid Status
Post by: sheddyian on September 09, 2013, 07:53:32 PM
I'm not sure if this has been posted here before - I saw this somewhere about 9 months back, was reminded of it again today and thought I'd share.

Lovely website showing current status of the National Grid : how much power coming from different sources, current frequency, demand etc.  Nice graphics too!

Updates every few minutes - fascinating to watch!

Nice find.  :)

Interesting how power consumption is down at the weekend.  My first thought would be more people at home at the weekend and higher demand, obviously non-retail business use takes up a large portion of our energy, as the drop in summer months isnt too great.  Certainly not in line with how much my electric changes between summer/winter.
