Greetings All,
Can I suggest that you all now go for a brisk 3 mile jog to burn off all the Christmas Dinner calories ? :-X
No ? Well instead, I suggest another glass of single malt and another slice of cake. :P
This is my first post here, so I hope you are all enjoying Christmas Day with your friends and family.
I have a confession to make ... I'm from "The Other Place".
I notice that quite a number of my old mates are chilling out here.
Nice to meet you.
Cheers, Spitfire :drink:

Welcome, Spit.
They must all be flaked out on the settee or in the back bedroom snoring away quite happily.
It's rather quiet round here tonight but they will all be back with hangovers tomorrow.
Pull up a chair and have a scout round and I'll put the kettle on!

Yes of course you can suggest it...
Will I do it?
No way - specially not at this time of night :D

Think I'll pass, on that suggestion too...
Right now I don't think I could eat anything for a week.
That was "round 1" at my parents today.
Tomorrow - "round 2" at my brothers. ???

Hello and welcome..
Re..."Can I suggest that you all now go for a brisk 3 mile jog to burn off all the Christmas Dinner calories ?"
We always go in to our local 600 acre country park in our village on xmas day, It's great because the road gates are locked so that meant that we only met 3 other people instead of hundreds, O-yes and lots of deer, rabbits , squirrels, ducks ,birds, sheep, cows. :) .
Then yesterday I wanted some more bread so instead of getting in the car, My daughter and I walked to the next town and back from our village (about 8 Mile round trip), we were nearly back home with our village shop in sight and my daughter said why did we not get some bread from there ?. :'(
Nice to see a 'Spitfire' .
My father worked for Rolls-Royce during the last war and he was involved in going around different airfields showing them how to service the Merlin Engines.
