Hi all
Thought some might find this interesting, after seeing on another post about ssfp's with surge protection possible causing averse affects on vdsl lines I removed mine.
I have attached before and after stats.
Another benefit I have Noticed is before the removal dialling out on my line would cause a 1db droup on my snr it is now rock steady at 7 with no fluctuation whilst making or receiving calls. BOUNS :D
Regards all

. . . another post about ssfp's with surge protection . . .
Just a minor correction of the details. No SSFPs have (or have ever had) surge protectors fitted to them. It is the older NTE5/As which have over-voltage surge protectors fitted to them. :)
It is an interesting observation that you have made with regards to the drop in SNRM when the line is looped by using the telephone.

everything looks the same except the snrm, what was the connection uptime on the before graph?
bitswapping over the life of a connection can reduce snrm when it disables problematic tones, these tones get reactivated on a new sync.
