This is great news. Aren't the French Police using Ubuntu everywhere too?
Now if only the IT department where I work could lose the attitude or dogma that nobody uses Macs (have a look at anyone with a laptop on campus please or the 200 machines my department looks after FOR you as you refuse to support anything that doesn't come from Redmond) or Linux (so what's powering the Internet then, or those other tablets that aren't iPads?). Sorry for the rant, just annoyed that this 1990's attitude and plain ignorance is still rife in some places where attitudes from IT should really be agnostic these days IMO. Flame off. ;D

Most days I have a look what they are doing on the ISS and I know they have been having lots of problems with the laptops but we will see how the new OS will fare.
A few years ago when my daughter attended a school in the nearby city I tried to get them to introduce Linux into the computing classes or the computer clubs, but they just did not seem interested :( .
