Title: Tone Clipping
Post by: NewtronStar on March 05, 2013, 11:37:07 PM
I have been using FTTC 40/10 for 8 months and still see this tone being clipped/subdued in the 500 Khz range (582.1875 KHZ) could this be an Internal wireing issue or just the external copper wire makeup ?

It looks like the (intended) effects of DPBO - downstream power back-off / a power spectral density (PSD) mask.   Intended to preserve the quality of service of those receiving ADSL from the exchange, and those with FTTC who share the same cable binder as you but whose local loop is longer than your own.

Many thanks Asbokid

You have saved me time re-wireing the Data Socket to check if it was caused by Internal wireing.

again much appreciated  8)

Could be wrong, but it would be a NFF: no fault found!
