Title: Relative can send/receive emails but problems with web browsing

Uses Outlook and Firefox or Chrome on Windows XP computer and has Thomson 585v7/8 router.
Can send/receive emails by ethernet or wireless connection (such as via smartphone), but can only get wireless connection to web pages, but not ethernet. Tells me all physical connections checked. Attempted connection to router IP address just produces "waiting" message.

Any thoughts friends? Please!

Check settings on the ethernet connection for DNS?

Are you able to perform a tracert to bbc.co.uk and 212.58.241.131

As it happens he is even more wakeful than me, and solved by restarting the router. ::) :D
