Title: Line adapter Unit wiring (RJ45 to BT)
Post by: setecio on December 09, 2007, 10:12:13 AM
Which wires in an RJ45 cable does a telephone use when connected to ethernet cat5e wiring via a line adapter unit in the UK ?

Does anyone have any good links for LAU wiring diagrams (UK) ?

Thanks.

Are you talking about a RJ45 to RJ11 adapter generally used in a structured wiring system?

Then this should answer your query.

Thanks. Yep that link has the info Stevie. Now I just need to think about it  ???

I suppose they could be RJ11 to RJ45 but I'm interested in BT to RJ45 like these, to use BT phones over ethernet cabling:

Is this for Home use or in an Office?

For office use, but I'd like to understand the wiring for both home and office use.
