I don't seem to be able to change my uploaded avatar. I went through the procedure to upload a different one and clicked the Update button, but nothing changed. I (very briefly) changed over to one of the supplied film star pics, which worked fine, but didn't keep it because I knew you would laugh. I then went back to the 'Upload my own pic' option and tried again, but it just restored the picture of me in a pinny.
Am I missing something?

maybe cached?

ok Ive just changed your av for a slightly different one.
What I notice is that when you upload the new image it keeps the same file name as the old one... therefore the file name it allocates must be related to your username?
When it first accepted it, it briefly showed your old av until I refreshed the page, therefore Im assuming it must be a browser caching thing.
It all seems ok when I view it in the forum.

Thanks, Kitz, yes it's changed over now. I guess that it was something to do with caching, but the previous avatar persisted even after logging out and in again, and re-launching the browser. Ho-hum, it's fine now, and you don't have to look at that picture of me any more, just a small bit of my house.
