Title: DG834PN - Interleave
Post by: Lucifer on July 19, 2012, 11:30:13 PM
Hi folks,

Been using a DG834PN router for years now without any major issues. I was testing out a Belkin router (can't remember model) and noticed that it connected first time in Fast Path mode but the Netgear ALWAYS connects in Interleaved.

Is there any way to force it to try and connect in Fast Path mode or to diagnose why it is rejecting it in favour of Interleaved?

I would have kept using the Belkin but it's ping blocker was interfering with a couple of some multiplayer games.

Interleaving is an attribute of the DLM, so its not something controlled by the router.
It is possible that different routers report it differently so you may not be aware that it was actually turned on.
Alternatively its possible that some event has recently occurred which has made the DLM switch on interleaving in order to stabilise your line.

To get interleaving turned off you will have to contact your ISP.
