Hi,
Yesterday i was upgraded to 21CN, and at about 14.30 my internet went off line, for the upgrade i assume. But it is now the following morning and i still have no phone connection, there is no dial tone and my router says: ADSL Link Down. I have tried plugging to phone into the test socket and it still didnt work. I phoned my broadband provider and they said it was a problem with the phone line and that a BT engineer will need to be called out. Is there any checks i need to do to make sure it is not on my side of the equipment so i dont have to pay for the call out? Or does anyone have any information as to why this would have happened. Any help is greatly appreciated/

I think you have already performed about the only check you can do in circumstances like this. :(
It sounds like something has gone wrong with the jumpering.... so will need an engineer at the exchange to fix this.

Hi, a BT engineer came this morning and the problem was indeed at the exchange and has now been fixed ;D thanks
