Hi,
     My name is Harry, and I am very new to this  part of the site. I have used the various checks and settings on other parts, but I have a specific question which I would like to ask.
      Before  that I should tell you I am a "Silver Surfer", having got my bus pass a year or so ago.  So please bear in mind my apparent senility if you should talk to me!! :'(
    The little I know about computers is mainly self taught, by the trial and error method, helped by insomnia, and the fact that Rugby League is only on the telly during the summer months! :(
    Thanks for having me, and I hope I can be useful in some small way.

Hello Harry,

              I'm not quite old enough yet for a bus pass but as I live in the country I'd like to petition the government for a horse pass. Much more enviromental friendly in my opinion.They could have hitching posts in every small village and you just leave the nag there when you are finished for the next person to ride. As long as there is hay and water I'm sure the horsies would be happy enough.      :)

Hi Harry, there seems to be more silvers in here than the other type, like Steph I would be if I didn't dye, but I've got the bus pass as well

Mabye when we say hello on here we should include a picture. I'd include one of me when I was 20 and had a hair style like David Cassidy.

Wouldn't include one of me now as it would look more like Phil Collins.    :no:

I hadn't actually looked - but these threads usually end in a "That's what you look like? Bwahahahahaha" :D

Nice plane BTW - although I suspect that by 1954 "nice" is not the phrase which ground crew applied to it ;)

Talking of pictures of undesirables:

When in the RN in the 60's, every stokers mess that I was on had a 'Gronk Board'.
Every 'run ashore' where you could not pull a 'page three dolly' you got p1ssed and went for the ugliest thing you could find.
Just get apicture of you and 'it', nothing further was required.
Then upon leaving port a panel of 'judges' was set up to judge the 'Ugliest Gronk' of the visit. The winner was awarded a crate of Tiger.
In nine years I did win once or twice.
