Hello all, and thank you for such an excellent board.  I have been reading a lot here and learning much after I stumbled upon this site when trying to diagnose an ADSL problem (since rectified - well, circumvented - but I might post about it if it's of academic interest)

I am a restless tinkerer, and have been striving to squeeze the last possible byte out of my remarkably reliable broadband connection, so things I have read here have inspired me to try a few things with the wiring  :)

Welcome Ian,

You'll have to tell us how you rectified/circumvented your ADSL problem (in its own topic thread).
The details may be of interest and/or helpful for other users.

I have duly posted my curious tale in the ADSL telephony wiring & hardware forum, as it was mostly to do with how I wired it up.
