Title: W7 Event Viewer Errors
Post by: r2d2 on January 23, 2012, 02:57:11 PM
Hi
When I connect a USB flash/pen drive to my desktop or laptop Windows 7 event viewer shows 3 or 4 error logs:- Event 11 - The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk2\DR2. I looked on goggle and it appears to be quite a common issue so does anyone know if it's really a controller error or could Windows be reporting a false positive?

Thanks

As long as the Pen drive is showing in My Computer or Disc Management, then I would not be concerned.

I assume the error message is not shown when the Pen drive is disconnected, as that will confirm the Pen drive is the cause.
