kitz.co.uk is happy to announce arrival of a new kitz wiki (http://wiki.kitz.co.uk/index.php?title=Main_Page).
The wiki is intended to be a searchable repository of useful broadband articles and technical facts. The beauty of a wiki is that unlike static html pages, content can be added to or amended by anyone authorised to do so. The aim is that authorised users can also update information much quicker and easier than with static html.
The wiki will not be open to all, as wiki's can easily be an attraction to spammers or vandalism, and it has therefore been decided that only members of a newly formed Content Team will be able to add or amend pages.
So now that the wiki is finally up and running, we need a few guinea pigs volunteers who would be willing to be part of the team. ;D
We feel that we already have an excellent forum community with some good and strong members and therefore the wiki content team is open to forum regs.
Application to be part of the content team can either be in this thread, or to the admins/mods who will arrange wiki edit access for you.
You will need to supply a username and also your email address so that the automated script will forward you details about your account to you. This ensures that personal info (such as password) will only be known by you.

Meow? ^-^
Perhaps one of the Trinity [1] will respond to my query, please, via a PM?

lol taken as such

I wouldn't dream of inflicting my techy knowledge on anyone - so I won't volunteer - :D but good luck with it ... :)

What a great bit of work - and very helpful. Well done, and Thank You for all the work on this. :)
I only wish I had the technical knowledge to contribute but I'm afraid even reading technical stuff can be a challenge sometimes so I doubt that any writing from me would be helpful. If ever I feel I can contribute usefully I will contact you. In the meantime I'll continue to read and learn. ???

Thanks for those comments Jazz. If there's anything in the wiki which you find hard to understand, please do let us know, and we'll try to make the explanations better. :)

I've held off from responding here as I think it is rare that my rambling thoughts hold together with adequate coherency to make any useful contributions. And in any case, a high standard has already been set, that I doubt I could equal (or even nearly equal). Added to that, I have recently retired from full-time work, and hence ( ;D ) I have much less time free time on my hands, and so I'm more wary of 'volunteering'.
But I'd also be glad to offer any help I could. More to the point, the time may come when I awaken some day with a 'Eureka' moment that I have something to add to the kitz wiki. I would then request membership of the content team in order to make my contribution, but if it should be deemed better that I request it now (in advance) then please PM me and I will volunteer all necessary information. Just remember it's new-years' eve and I am of Scottish origin... don't expect an immediate response :)

You might wish to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiki) for some of the history behind Wikis Phil.

I know this thread is quite old, but I would be willing to volunteer as well. I have tested a lot of routers () so I have lots of things I can say about them!

Thank you - you have a PM and should also have an auto generated email with your login info. :)

Thanks Kitz :).

Could you add me to the team please.
