Fed up with pesky ads cluttering the scene, I decided to install an ad blocker extension. Hpwever having seen the warning (see att) I'm having second thoughts. When I had a similar addon before a Winows reinstall I cannot recall such a warning.
What could have changed, is Chrome being just ultra cautious?

Is that Adblock Plus you intend to install? If so, I'll just say that it is Chrome being cautious. :-\

One option is AdBlock from chromeadblock.com, the other Adblock Plus for Google Chrome from Adblockplus.org. The later is Beta.
Both have the warning.

Then I guess it is a case of "Take Your Pick".
(Hmm. The name Michael Miles just popped into my mind. "Yes / No Interlude", anyone? ;) )

I like your logic. :)
I have been using Adblock Plus, with Firefox, for years without any cause to complain.

...or just to throw in one from eastfield, use the awesome Opera with either Ad Block or Ad Sweeper :)
