Has anyone else been having problems accessing bbc.co.uk today?
-
No more than normal - eg news bulletin times slow it down dramatically (1pm, 6pm etc etc)
Edit - the main site is very slow right now.
-
I keep getting a site not found message.
-
Just tried and gave up waiting..
-
Just tried now,to problem at all.Using IE7 and vista
-
Seems it's been up and down... it's not usually like that.
-
There is a message on Radio Player saying they have problems and I can't get onto the message boards.
Mind you I have got an email to say I've been modded for the third time today. Hypocrite, moi! 8)

Seems a bit temperamental - sometimes ok then goes slow.
Same on both RIN and Plusnet.
But now seems ok again ???

Someone on ISP Review Forum has posted that BBC site changed their terms and conditions yesterday. If you access the site from a UK ISP you get main site but if from a non-UK ISP you get sent to a BBC International site. Whether this is part of their licence money changes or whether they have had hacking problems from overseas I don't know but this may have been the reason that they were "off air" and hard to get hold of for a bit yesterday.

That has been the case for years I'm afraid. Eg - USA readers of the site get routed to Telehouse New York rather than the UK site.
-
Also if anyone is using the default OpenDNS DNS servers you also get routed to New York for the BBC!
