Hi folks. Just a note to say hi, and thanks for all the posts. I recently moved to a rural location (61dB line attenuation) and was sitting at a profile of 1280, that I was fairly happy with given the distance to the exchange ... could very easily be worse. After careful reading on this site and forum, I removed the bell wire (> 200k), replaced the microfilter (to ADSL Nation, > 248k) and finally switched the home hub 3.0 for a Netgear DG834G v3 (amazingly taking the sync speed to 3488). So, I'm happily sitting on an apparently very stable 3Mb profile. The Netgear hasnt let go yet (up for a week) even though the noise margin regularly drops (~2dB low point).
