Title: Serious BT Problem
Post by: waltergmw on October 03, 2011, 03:22:07 PM
Gentlefolk,

BT has confirmed that a "power failure" at a major exchange in Birmingham is causing problems for broadband customers across the UK.

One might have hoped that such a large mission-critical function would have a total dual-redundant configuration but sadly this does not seem to be so.

Kind regards,
Walter

Thanks for the information, Walter. As you say, it's a bit sad that a central function like this isn't backed up reliably.
