Title: Abode flash player problem with download

Hi
When trying to view the NASA site ,it needs Abode flash player .When I click the link to download the selected version, a Ubuntu window opens .
headed Launch application ,saying  This link needs to be opened with and application
I have an option to choose an application ??? from my folders /files
   ???

Forget about trying to install software that way. Use the distro's package management system. I think the Ubuntu one may be called Software Centre or something like that. You should find a package called flashplayer-something or flashplugin-something.
