Title: My Dell card reader has no XD slot
Post by: renluop on July 19, 2011, 11:06:45 AM
And in my on going recovery saga (Recuva'd Jpegs...Sort of!) I have now got down to my older XD cards. The integral reader does not have  the appropriate slot. The reader I acquired before buying the Dell computer ispocket sized  in one piece i.e. there is no lead needed, ideal except that it fouls the casing and won't insert.

I have a USB lead that allows me to insert my reader in one end and insert its other end in to the computer's USB socket. But when I tried this with the XD card in place, I am told to insert a disk. How do I deal with this?

Help! :help: :cry2:

I expect that there are other usb ports at the back of the PC. You could try plugging your usb extension lead into one of those perhaps?

Having tried and given up, I used brute force and up  came the reader and its several drives.

No bother, I'm pleased you've sorted it. :)
