As I started my computer a few minutes ago I saw a monochrome photo of two men, they looked like Harry Secpmbe and Petter Sellars in thier Goon show days, as it was only on screen for a split second I can't be sure, I don't belive in ghosts despite the my subject line so I'm doing a scan.
Has anyone else ever experienced this??

Take it with a drop more water Peter  :drunk:

Maybe a screensaver image.
Have a look at screensaver options.

I don't have any screen savers of the Goons, and that early in a morning is a bit too early for me :-[

Sorry Peter, we weren't getting at you, just having a giggle at your expense. I think the answer is: nobody has got any idea. :-[

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw Peter ..... sorry ..... but it did sound funny :flower:

Oooooooh! you 'orrible lot. A guy comes on asking what he thought was a sensible question and you go make fun of him. Mind you I would have phrased the question better. I think he new he was in for a fair bit of leg pulling. ;)

No offence taking, I enjoy the jokeing, I'd do the same in your position, strange though innit?

Peter, have you checked in msconfig, both startup and services tabs, ........is there anything odd in there ?
edit to add..............you had another odd happening with images and/or image aquisitions which you asked about here http://forum.kitz.co.uk/index.php/topic,8324.0.html
Was that resolved ? If not I wonder if we have the same problem under a different guise... :-\

Hi tuftedduck,
I still have that problem, at least part of it.
I have just removed a few item from start up after checking on line if safe to do so, so now the Art Galry.exe part no longer opens but the one stating Clip Gallery is now configured ... is till opening.
I have not seen my 'Ghost' again after several restarts.

Backup registry.
Then have a look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SYSTEM - SERVICES and see if it is listed there.
If it is BACKUP THE KEY and try deleting it and restart computer.
You could also download Process Explorer (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx) and see what is running in background.

I'm not too sure I am competent to do that, will ask number one son to do it for me.
Thanks,
Peter
